TOUCHSTONE DEBUTS LOW-DRIFT VOLTAGE REFERENCE IN SOT-23 PACKAGE
By Loring Wirbel | January 23, 2012
Touchstone Semiconductor Inc., a startup specializing in precision analog ICs, has introduced a new voltage reference with a drift of 7 parts per million per degree C. The TS6001A is offered in a three-pin SOT-23 package, providing the smallest footprint in the industry for such low drift.
The reference can sink and source load currents up to 500 microamps, while consuming only 27 microamps of supply current at no load. The dropout voltage at a 500-microamp load current is 100 mV. The initial output voltage accuracy is 0.08 percent maximum. In addition to the TS6001A, a version called TS6001B is offered with a drift of 15 ppm/degree C.
The two versions of the reference are in production and available from Future Electronics, with prices starting at $1.75 each for the TS6001A, $1.60 each for the TS6001B, both in quantities of 1000.
